It's well known that bow and arrows are amongst the earliest forms of weapons. They are the "guns" of that era. Compound bows are the most sophisticated of all. The double-stringing of this type of bow works on the principle that a small movement of the bow limb is multiplied by the twice-strung line. Eccentric limb wheels can add to the speed of the arrow.

This is not unexpected because much more development efforts have been dedicated to making compound bows better and better. One of the problems crossbow lovers face is inconsistency in shots. Here are a few tips on improving your performance with the crossbow.
To begin with, set up a bag target in a safe place. Using 100-grain field tips, practice shooting your crossbow at the target. If its the same arrow that is shooting inconsistently most of the time, then most probably the problem lies with the arrow and not the bow itself. Replace the arrow and try again.
